Virtual Christmas Tea Party with Jane Pettigrew

A special Christmas edition of Jane’s virtual tea party.

Saturday 14th December 2pm
Zoom Webinar
Ticket price £18

Join Jane for a virtual tea party – anyone can attend, no prior UKTA qualifications / course attendance necessary (but we highly recommend joining this session for those who have taken any of the four History & Etiquette of Afternoon Tea webinar modules.)

The Virtual Tea Party is intended to give anyone who has attended Jane’s live Webinars on The History and Etiquette of Afternoon Tea, or anyone else who is interested, an understanding of how a tea party happens in a real situation.

While seated at her festive tea table, Jane will discuss British festive foods, such as mince pies, shortbread, Christmas Cake, Twelfth Cake, Christmas Pudding, and the Wassail Bowl, with stories about how they originated and how they eventually became associated with Christmas celebrations. She will then invite everyone who has joined the online party to talk about their own traditional festive foods for Christmas and other seasonal celebrations.

We shall, of course, all be drinking our favourite tea and there will be lots to talk about and share. So, despite the different time zones, and if you would like to, do set up you own tea table with your favourite teapot and favourite tea and join us for a relaxed, friendly and celebratory afternoon of interesting tea-time conversation.

This will be a fun but also instructional experience.

What will I need?

1. Your phone, computer or tablet to join the webinar via Zoom
2. Optional: prepare yourself some tea and Christmas snacks to enjoy during the party

Price: £18

This webinar will be held on Zoom. Please note that bookings close 2 hours before the start of the Webinar.
