You’ll discover Japan’s distinctive tea styles and learn how traditional Japanese tea culture is evolving with new generations and tastes.

Speciality Teas

Live Tasting Tutorial
You’ll also have the opportunity to join a live tasting tutorial with the Japanese tea specialist Asako Steward. This guided online tasting will help you get the best from the extremely rare, award-winning teas sent out to you.  You can make notes on your experience in the  downloadable Tea Journal which supports your tasting vocabulary and sensory development.

Total Learning Time
A unit in World Tea Diploma typically takes around 10 – 12 hours to complete. That includes 2 hours in the Live Tasting Session. This will ensure you have the grounding and confidence to choose, share and enjoy many other Japanese teas. It’s a flexible qualification designed to fit around your schedule.

On completion
At the end of the unit, you’ll complete a multiple-choice quiz.
