Outline
From shaken matcha to infused spirits, discover how tea transforms cocktails and creative drinks. Explore balance, texture, and aroma across both alcohol and alcohol-free options.
This unit offers a professional yet playful introduction to using tea in mixed drinks. Whether you’re a bartender, tea sommelier or creative host, you’ll learn how tea contributes aroma and structure to your drinks menu.
You’ll explore brewing, cold infusion, flavour balance, tea syrups, spirit infusion and even advanced techniques like flash extraction and fat-washing. Each technique is explained with practical tips and flavour logic. You’ll learn how tea can enhance mouthfeel, soften bitterness, and bring complexity to drinks served hot or cold, shaken or stirred.
