This is open to those who have achieved World Tea Diploma.

A research subject is negotiated between the student and a professional mentor. The research should be focused on a specific area of interest already developed through UKTA learning. It should assist in the student’s professional development and could be of direct benefit to their employer and/or the tea industry.

Research subjects are negotiable, but might include for example:

• Ethics and sustainability in buying tea from emerging regions
• Logistics and importing tea into the UK
• How tea science and health impact on HORECA.

Terms for conduct of the research and assessment requirements are determined by the UKTA. These will be published with a specification and further details for enrolment in January 2025.
