Independent Accreditation

UKTA Accreditation and Qualifications
The UK Tea Academy (UKTA) designs and delivers accredited qualifications tailored to the needs of tea professionals and learners worldwide. All of our qualifications are structured around individual units and they are externally accredited by OCN London, an awarding organisation regulated by Ofqual. Ofqual is the UK government department responsible for regulating qualifications, examinations and assessments.

What Does 'Accredited' Mean?

UKTA qualifications are accredited by OCN London. This means they are externally quality assured and designed in line with national expectations for unit-based learning.  UKTA qualifications are aligned to the standards and principles of the RQF (Regulated Qualifications Framework) to ensure consistency, progression and recognition.

What Makes UKTA Qualifications Unique?
• Designed specifically for the tea sector
• Developed by educators and tea professionals
• Aligned to UK-recognised levels and credits
• Flexible, accessible, and professionally relevant

How to achieve a UKTA Qualification

UKTA qualifications are composed of independent units.  To complete a full qualification, learners need to:

• Complete the required core units
• Choose and complete one optional unit (where relevant)
• Submit and pass a Final Project (for advanced qualifications only)

OCN London digital badges are awarded on completion of each unit. Learners also receive a qualification certificate when all the units required for a qualification have been successfully completed.
